
4 Trainee Community Organisers to work in Peterborough
Contract: 51 week Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £8.50 per hour
Hours: 35 hours p/w
Peterborough Citizens Advice Bureau, in partnership with Locality,
are looking to recruit 4 Community Organiser Trainees to work in the
Peterborough area. This is a one year experiential learning
programme to develop skills and experience in Community Organising.
Community Organisers is a government-funded scheme which aims to
train 5,000 ‘Community Organisers’, individuals who will work in
local communities around the country to bring people together,
listen to ideas, build networks and support people to tackle the
local issues which are important to them.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are eligible to
work in the UK and must be available for a three day residential
training course from 27th to 30th March 2012 or they will not be
shortlisted. NB. The residential course will not be held in the
Peterborough area.
This will be a fixed term 51 week contract, with accredited training
opportunities. Successful candidates will be directly employed by
Locality and on placement with host organisation Peterborough
Citizens Advice Bureau
